Peace, Justice, Sustainability NOW

 

What We Do

We Organize for Peace AND Justice, AND a Safe, Sustainable Environment, working in coalition with human rights groups, local sustainability activists, the Black Lives Matter movement and other movements for civil and personal rights like woman's rights and the rights of the LGBT community, and first peoples rights among others. We are allied with prison reform organizations, gun control groups and.. of course ... members of the Peace Community THROUGHOUT FLORIDA, PENNSYLVANIA and across the country.

 

We work to end the occupation in Iraq; prevent war with Iran; Syria and all around the world. We promote nuclear weapons abolition. When possible, we participate in Congressional Education Days, organized by National Peace Action, among others and help you to get on message and in the offices of Congressional Representatives.

 

We network with other associate organizations and affiliates and chapters of Peace Action and local and regional groups around the country.

 

We organize in-district visits whenever Congress is out of session. Usually in PA and FL but we can help organize one in your area wherever you are.

 

We provide online information that helps you and all of us, to stay informed and active in our government locally, nationally and internationally.

 

We promote protests and direct actions, coordinated with national coalitions, connecting you with other activists that shows the strength of grass-roots movements everywhere.

WHAT WE BELIEVE!

WE BELIEVE THAT PROTECTING the US MEANS PROVIDING FOR all US RESIDENTS; AND, THAT EVERY PERSON HAS THE RIGHT TO LIVE WITHOUT THE THREAT OF NUCLEAR WEAPONS OR ENDLESS WAR.

WE BELIEVE. THAT WAR IS NOT A SUITABLE RESPONSE TO CONFLICT.

WE BELIEVE GIVEN THE RIGHT TOOLS, ORDINARY PEOPLE, WORKING TOGETHER, CAN CHANGE THE WORLD.

Membership gives us finical resources and direct political power that enables us to stand up to the likes of AIPAC and the NRA.

We are on on-line resource. A clearing house for useful information and networking on the issues that we address that flow from our mission.

We conduct research using reputable, independent, informative and well documented sources of information, news and scientific study.

We have relationships with Local, Regional and National and International  organizations with proven, long-term track records of work on progressive social change like Global Woman's Strike, National Peace Action, Coalition for Peace Action and Clean Air Council to name just one each on the international, national, regional and local stages.
