Your membership contribution gives us financial resources to cover our expenses including staff time, internet, overhead, travel and production costs. Just as importantly your membership gives us political clout to influence both elected officials and business leaders by threatening your votes, your tax dollars (should you choose to support tax resistance campaigns when called for) and your consumer dollars through boycotts and shareholder proxy actions. It also gives us the experience and person power for each member that chooses to volunteer and get actively involved by attending forums, actions or by participating in grass-roots lobby campaigns.
